Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1 Departure for Madrid

The great European adventure begins: we take off from Miami bound for magical Madrid. Prefer to leave from another city? Ask us for the fare. We recommend getting to the airport at least 4 hours before your flight so the trip starts stress-free.

Day 2 Madrid

Welcome to Madrid! When you arrive in Spain's vibrant capital, a representative meets you and takes you to the hotel. In the afternoon, a panoramic tour reveals the city's most iconic landmarks, and after dark we take you to the lively Plaza Mayor, perfect for a traditional dinner and a toast at one of its classic mesones.

Day 3 Madrid – Toledo – Madrid

Today we head to Toledo, a city suspended in time, with medieval lanes, legends of Christians, Jews and Muslims, and views over the Tagus River. The afternoon is free to keep enjoying Madrid. In the evening, if you like, you can feel the passion of Andalusia at an optional flamenco show.

Day 4 Madrid – Zaragoza – Barcelona

The adventure continues toward Aragon across the lands of Castile, with a short stop in Zaragoza to see the Basilica of El Pilar. When we reach Barcelona, a short panoramic coach tour introduces the Catalan capital on the Mediterranean, famous for Gaudí and its Modernist architecture, its Ramblas and the legacy of its World's Fairs and Olympic Games. Sometimes this tour takes place the next morning.

Day 5 Barcelona – French Riviera

A free morning in Barcelona to wander the Gothic Quarter, stroll Las Ramblas and visit its majestic cathedral. At noon we leave for France through the scenery of Provence, stopping along the way for a relaxed lunch, and reach Nice at the end of the day. On some dates the hotel may be near Nice, on the French Riviera.

Day 6 Nice – Monaco – Genoa – Venice

After breakfast, a coach tour of sophisticated Nice: the Promenade des Anglais, lively Place Masséna and its picturesque old port. On the way we stop at Fragonard, where they explain how perfume is traditionally made, and spend time in the Principality of Monaco, famous for its clifftop setting above the sea, the Prince's Palace, the Casino and its glamour. We continue along the Italian Riviera, where the Alps meet the Mediterranean, and reach Venice at the end of the day, staying in the Mestre area.

Day 7 Venice – Florence

After breakfast we head to Tronchetto to board a private boat that carries us along the Giudecca Canal into the historic heart of Venice. We enjoy a guided walking tour of iconic St. Mark's Square, with its majestic Basilica and Campanile, and visit a traditional Murano glass factory to marvel at the age-old art of glassblowing. Around 5:00 p.m. we set off for Florence, arriving in the late afternoon.

Day 8 Florence – Rome

We start the day with a tour of Florence with a local guide: the capital of Tuscany and cradle of the Renaissance, home of Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Botticelli and Raphael. Highlights include the Gothic cathedral (the Duomo), the Ponte Vecchio with its goldsmiths' shops and Piazza della Signoria, the city's political heart, with its medieval town hall. After lunch we continue through lovely scenery to Rome.

Day 9 Rome and the Vatican

We begin with a three-hour panoramic tour by bus and on foot through Imperial Rome: the Arch of Constantine, the outside of the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums, plus the Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, Santa Maria Maggiore, the Pyramid of Cestius and Castel Sant'Angelo. The tour ends around 11:00 a.m. in Vatican City, where your guide offers an optional visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. In the evening we take you to the charming Trastevere neighborhood, known for its cozy restaurants, returning to the hotel around 8:30 p.m.

Day 10 Rome: free day

After breakfast, the day is free to keep exploring Rome at your own pace. If you like, join the optional excursion to the enchanting island of Capri.

Day 11 Rome – Pisa – Turin

We leave Rome for northern Italy, following the Mediterranean. In Pisa we admire one of the most beautiful squares in the country, with its famous Leaning Tower. We continue north to Turin, the capital of Piedmont, where we spend the night.

Day 12 Turin – Geneva – Paris

A long day lies ahead, but one full of breathtaking scenery. We go through the tunnel under Mont Blanc, the highest peak in the Alps, and pass through the Chamonix area, surrounded by snow-capped summits. In Geneva there's time for a stroll and lunch beside its beautiful lake, and then we cross central France to Paris, arriving around 9:00 p.m.

Day 13 Paris: Versailles and Montmartre

Our Paris adventure begins with a transfer to the Palace of Versailles, where you can stroll its beautiful gardens or tour the inside if you wish (admission not included). Then we head to bohemian Montmartre, with its open-air painters and small restaurants, and after lunch we enjoy a panoramic tour of Paris with a local guide. In the evening, if you like, you can catch an optional variety show.

Day 14 Paris: free day

A free day to discover the charm of Paris at your own pace. If you like, join the optional excursion that combines a boat ride on the Seine, with views of the city's most iconic landmarks, and a walk through the bohemian Latin Quarter. This is also the day of the optional photo session, scheduled for June 28, 2027, before the excursion.

Good to know

  • The photo session is optional and doesn't include transfers: each participant makes their own way to the meeting point, whose exact address comes with your final travel documents, which we send about three weeks before departure. Keep in mind that booking other optional tours that day could overlap with the session.
  • You'll need a passport valid for at least 6 to 9 months after your return date, with at least two blank pages; send us a copy when you book.
  • You'll stay at the planned hotels or others of the same category. Hotel ratings in Europe don't follow US standards: rooms tend to be smaller, and many hotels are in historic or older buildings in outlying areas.
  • A triple room is usually a double with an extra bed (rollaway or sofa bed), so we don't recommend it for three adults, and it's subject to availability.
  • Prices for children aged 0 to 15: ask us.
  • The order of visits, and even some cities, may change to keep the tour running smoothly.

Easy booking, pay at your pace

  1. $350 deposit per person to hold your spot
  2. 50% 91 days before departure
  3. Balance 45 days before departure
