Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to open an LLC in Florida?

Total cost combines the Sunbiz state fee (set by Florida Department of State) plus our professional fees, which depend on the package: registration only, registration + EIN + Operating Agreement, or full package with first-year registered agent. We give you a firm quote before starting.

Can I open an LLC without SSN?

Yes. For U.S. residents we use ITIN; for foreigners we use passport. Florida does not require SSN for LLC ownership.

How long does it take?

Sunbiz approves the LLC in 3–7 business days. EIN arrives same day (with SSN) or 4–6 weeks (with ITIN). Total: 1–2 weeks with SSN, 4–8 weeks if processing ITIN simultaneously.

What is the Operating Agreement?

Internal document defining owners, percentages, decision-making and profit distribution. Florida does not require it but most banks need it for business accounts. Included in our packages.

After opening the LLC, what else?

Three critical things: (1) open a business bank account separate from personal finances; (2) check if your activity needs a local license in Tampa or Hillsborough County; (3) file the Annual Report each year between January and May to keep your LLC active. We guide you through all three.
